Thanks for the great tutorial. But I have to say, the song that you are working on is freaking sweet. it is right up my ally in terms of my sound liking.Dark, mechanical, robotic like, LOL. Hard to explain. Like "tech-techno". Have you released it yet? Also, I'd really would love some insight on how you make that swopping deep bass sound. Good stuff. Feel free to message me!

Hi, thanks for the great tutorials.
I've overcome that On/Off problem by simply clicking the pencil button on the top, or pressing CRTL-b and then using that to just draw from where it should be On or Off. This way it will snap nicely to the grid! 100% precise :)
Thanks again!

Hi, I'm new to ableton, and I've noticed that when I load up a previous project, that I have working on before hand, the automations seem to be turned off or something? but im not sure whether they're off or just mucking up... next to the field being automated, eg. "Dry/Wet" there is a little grey square and i dont know how to turn it on? any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers :)

@JahoboUk It sounds like the need to click on the - back to arrange button - at the top of the arrange page (it will be red). If you record automation for a parameter and then move the parameter so that it is different from what you have recorded, Live will deactivate your automation. I hope this helps.

You can just use the pencil for on/off automation if you want it to be precise. Cheers mate!

@gcnubian nomoneymonkey beat you to that about a month ago!!! You are quite right, the pencil tool is the best way. Hopefully we will see better automation including curves (like the fades) in Live 9.
