These movies are gold. I have them all. Check out Godzilla vs. Megalon and Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster as well.

Gamera is the property of all the children of the world.

    And soon... Google.

Misinformed by Shout? The company that did the release? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. No, Joyplex is merely a go-between with Kadokawa. Kadokawa has handed over the rights to Gamera to be licensed through Joyplex. So if you want to do anything Gamera-related now, you have to deal with them. No more, no less. The MST3K box set is released by Shout Factory.

Well acording the producer of the DVD Daiei/Kodakowa did not want this dvd released. And the bottom of the dvd clearly says liscenced from Joyplex, Inc. Sorry but I'm afraid you've been misinformed.

Having worked with Shout! on the previous Gamera releases I can tell you that is incorrect. Kadokawa owns anything related to Gamera now and they allowed Shout! to put out this set. Daiei hasn't existed since Kadokawa bought it in the early 2000s.

Actually the films were liscenced from a company called Joyplex. Supposedly Daiei did not want this set released but because they relinquished the american rights they have no control over the set.
