Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Shirley Temple, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fred Thompson, Jesse Ventura, etc., etc., ad nauseam. Only one president was an actor: Ronald Reagan. It's not too surprising, actually. Politicians, in America at least, have to sell themselves to the electorate. Even politicians who don't make their money acting are professionals at it.
