Amazing, I currently own this Status bass, #487! I bought it through Basschat.co.uk in 2011. I had seen this video previously and thought "I'd love to own a Status as nice as that", funnily enough I didn't realise I had actually bought that bass!

My current bass may look good, but it only cost me £150 second hand! New about £350 I think, my vids are only recorded with a digicam and some 80's Philips hifi speakers, so my next purchase has to be an amp! I agree with justifying what one person can own, but if I had ample funds (damn recession) I hopefully would have had a JD and saving for an Alembic and the Kingbass MK1! But you can only play one at a time. There are some great players with naff basses, but also bad with good basses

Yes- that does seem to be the same on on ebay at the mi,ent, al being £500 more than I sold it for!!! Swines...

That bass keeps on being re-listed on there, so everyone seems to know its a bit over priced.... Wonderful bit of kit though!! Have you seen the Jaydee MK on there at the momemt? Another dream bass!

Yeah - I saw the Jaydee. I had one of those as well and have been trying to buy it back in the 10 years since I sold it. Life goes on!

No need for tears - there are some limits to what one man can justify owning.Thats why I've sold it all now - it feels wrong a./ owning flashy stuff full stop and b./ owning flashy stuff when other players who don't are much better than you are.
