@shortshudson actually, after the Count orders Cherubino to leave and join the Seville regiment for being infatuated with his wife, Figaro tells Cherubino that he must give up his easy life and his women and become a soldier....so he of course has a romanticized view of the army and how he'll come back a hero..so Id think he'd either be happy/cheeky :]
His technique is....lacking, to put it as kindly as possible. And he sounds way too happy. Figaro just found Cherubino in his woman's room! He's definitely not happy about it.
The pianist is using too much pedal. Mozart scores are very heavy on woodwinds, and so they should played with as little petal as possible. The bass also over covers the E on top.
