@xxUniqueAngelxx Just picked up my new 997 turbo S last week. It is unreal. I promise you no GTR will stay with this. Send me you your e-mail address and i'll send you a couple of pictures. The GTR is good, but not this good, this is the quickest turbo have aver had. Its new gearbox makes it quicker than my last turbo which was 600bhp and manual gearbox.

@TheLEETAYLOR the nissan gtr still have a launch controle ... you only have to know how to use it ... and a good driver acclerate the gtr in 3.3 maybe 3.4 ... and one more thing porsche only builds sportscars they took all of budget in the production of sportscar engine and technolegy ... and nissan do not ... so just look what a nissan do with a porsche .... remember that ...

We all know the Corvette champs both anyways.

VDC is actually for taking the car out of a sticky situation, lets say mud or ice it gets the car blasted out of the situation it says so in the owner manual. And Nissan never said the 2009 GTR would do 3.5 it actually claimed 3.8 seconds and people using launch control have gotten 3.2 with no mods. But now with a fully functioning launch control and no problems the car gets 3.3 and 3.5 at all times. ALL times.

@jampatch326 Listen - when you drive turbos you would never jump into a Datsun. Its a good car but has faults - and certainly not engineered to Porsche standards. What was VDC for then? Why did they use it in all tests all over you tube to get a fast 0-60. Try looking up motortrend and the Launch control is dead - its independent and shows 0-60 is not more like 4 seconds. What will the Turbo S do with the GTr i wonder. Mines due in June.

@TheLEETAYLOR Im tired of morons like you leaving stupid comments, can you at least get your facts straight before you say such dumb things? They didn't discontinue launch control, they fixed the issue of turning the vdc off because it would destroy the transmission and it wasn't the purpose of vdc but people got faster times out of it so they did it any way. The GT-R now gets 3.5 0-60 all the time with the new upgraded launch control and thats under warranty look it up moron.

Yes - thats's correct. If they got the clutch faultless and had no underlying problems then its a quality car. Cannot help thinking they would have been better running it under another name as the Nissan badge puts some people off. I've been informed today from my local dealer Turbo S expected June and 530bhp so you heard it here first. List price expected at £120k . Maybe Nissan may fix this clutch problem as its go to be a kick in the bollocks for them.
2010 GTR no longer has launch control. Cars with launch are having software upgrade because they are destroying their under engineered clutches. 0-60 time is now 4 seconds. Go to Motor trend website for new figures and press release from nissan as to why they have removed launch and voided warranty claims on clutches and drive transmissions. Porsche give full warranty and its engineered to perfection, and has launch control in 2010 pdk cars. Porsche due to release 540bhp Turbo S in May.

very true. but how much would a new 911 turbo S run you? a little over 130,000 dollars. while the nissan GTR sits at about 50,000 dollars less. One of the reasons Porsche, i think has done so well, is that they produced a higher quality product at a lower price than Jaguar BMW Merc, Ferrari, Aston etc. And i think Nissan copied that model by engineering a car that can play with the big boys but still costs less, much less. i'm just saying you get a bit (okay alot) more bang for you buck
