I have seen other hexapod robots and this seams to walk better and faster, more like an insect, and not a robot. Which is a good thing in my opinion!
Have You ever thought about putting something like, caster wheels on a couple of its feet, so when its on flat surfaces, You can use the other feet to propel it. almost like a skateboard.
Even better but more sophisticated, I think using linear actuators to pop the wheels up and down on command. Would be really cool.
Thanks for sharing!

You do realize you built all right legs, not 3 right and 3 left, like the instructions show? That's why it's not walking right. ;)

cool. what is front and back on this thing?

Hey transistorbaluba, Thanks for the complement. There isn't a real front and back. That makes it easy to instantly change directions without having to turn around.
