Apple's new ad for the Intel iMac is looks strikingly familiar to anyone who has seen the video for Such Great Heights by the group The Postal Service. This is a side-by-side comparison of the videos. They were both directed by Xander Charity and Josh Melnik, but why directly copy a piece of work you've already made for something else? That's the question of the hour. Stills & a higher-quality version can be downloaded at http://www.eliteproductionswi.com/apple-ps.htm

  • what i think is funny is that The Postal Service didn't sue anybody, but if the roles were switched, Apple would sue.

  • WE KNOW SMARTY PANTS! He just ripped off material he created for another person's project, which is still plagiarism, since he sold the rights to it.

  • @conroyfan22 Well, they do, but the chip they make serves only one purpose, and that is letting the OS X install DVD "know" that the machine is a Mac so it will install.

  • @phat989 Apple does not make chips...they use Intel chips. nuff said.

  • Well, Apple is full of shit anyways, so...

  • aapl makes chips, postal service dont. nuff said.

  • Rip off!!!

  • The process of making the computer chips is all the same. Look-a-like or not, the same thing is happening in both videos. (If anyone gets what I mean.)

  • Look at 0:06 on this video and 0:36 on "Such Great Heights." They are exactly the same.

  • @nevermath The Postal Service has stated that Apple did not pay for the rights to this video. I never said everybody should sue everyone for everything. I just mean that if it were anyone using anything of Apple's they would try to sue the crap out of them. We all know it.
