@Amidalla512 It scraped 5. The ship could stay afloat if 4 compartments are flooded, but not 5.

ummm it scraped 4 of the compartments. it sunk because there was too much weight at the front end of the ship. man, if those passengers were really thinking, they wouldve grabbed a door for everybody. that wouldve kept them alive.

technically, titanic broke in half a a 10 degree angle, when most say they saw it crack so high they were just seeing the remnants of the stern plunge in the water because it was so dark out!
