  • Only Whitney can pull off those Growls !!

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • @truehiphop809 comparing marvin ans sam cooke to whitney is like comparing apples to damn cantaloupes, COMPLETELY different

  • @lildarlin90

There was a time when Whitney use to call Bobby the "King" of R&B. You and Whitney must be sipping the same kool aid.

  • @truehiphop809 marvin gaye nor sam cooke cant hold vocals to whitney

  • @kmaur21 wrong, sam cooke And marvin gaye could mess with 80s whitney, sam cooke sang this song a thousand times better than whitney , just saying this song isn't really a song made for her , when in her prime she was amazing and 1 of my favorite female singers of all time,. But I will never consider her as great as sam cooke or marvin gaye.. Never

  • @GaddafiIsAGreatMan PLEASE don't mistake Whitney effortlessness with lack of soul she actually was opera trained, and sung in this era 5 octaves of range very effortlessly night after night. She is the Voice and there is none that can mess with 80's Whitney NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This indeed is the same exact version Aretha Franklin sang when she performed her rendition... wow, too beautiful. May the legendary Sam Cooke RIP.

  • @ummjt "Whitney has talents that span many more genres than aretha - probably because she was operatically trained, influenced by gospel and soul by her mother."

Aretha has recorded soul/r&b, blues, jazz, gospel, rock, pop. Recorded one of the most influential gospel albums of all times and was mentored by gospel legends Mahalia Jackson, Clara Ward & James Cleveland. Whitney's career not even close to being as diverse. I do think Whitney had a beautiful voice.

  • @MIMI88998899 You cannot call Whitney Houston an okay singer...it is false...no one agrees with you...I don't care if you think Aretha is better...it makes not sense...
