Leading Australian criminologist Professor Paul Wilson of Bond University addressed the National Press Club on Wednesday 5 August, 2009. Professor Wilson discussed why the proposed and enacted anti-association laws, commonly called 'anti-bikie' laws, wouldn't work.
I got the trial after being assumed guilty from the police to my own lawyer, so much so that I was found guilty of breaching an AVO in the local court without ever being offered my right to make a statement. The first time anyone in authority heard my defence was the appeal judge who overturned the local court verdict and then blamed the magistrate for the miscarriage of justice; thereby concealing everything in my brief of evidence and concealing the insurer's perjuries that got me convicted.
