Each year Community College of Rhode Island students participate in internships with employers like the Rhode Island State Police, The East Greenwich Pendulum newspaper, the Human Rights Commission and the state Medical Examiner's Office through the college's Cooperative Education program.

The program gives students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in their field. They develop contacts, build a stronger resume and see if a particular career is the right fit for them. The program combines 15 hours of weekly workplace experience with a seminar.

In this video, student participants share the value of their experiences.
