Next in an occasional series of things that piss me off while bicycling in Los Angeles.

And speaking of things I REALLY despise: By all means I don't mind mouth-breathing trolls spouting their hateful ignorance as long as they don't mind that I'll spare the thread their loathsome stupidity and keep their laughably idiotic and worthless keyboard poundings just between them and my inbox. I'm all for dialog and communication, but flamers get blocked and their misspelled mostly mono-syllabic rants get the delete key dictatorially pressed with my middle finger and without a second thought.

  • now imagine if the right side door opened. you go bang!!!!!

  • @myland555 A lot of commenters have wished that's what had happened, but I'd already observed the driver entering an adjacent building so I new going to the right was a pretty safe bet.

  • @wildbell If you're going to complain about "flamers" and their "misspelled mostly mono-syllabic rants," you should probably check your own spelling before posting stuff like "so I new going to the right was a pretty safe bet". It just makes you look incredibly stupid.

  • @eddiequest4 That is the best comment, ever. You are absolutely correct!

  • @wildbell I agree. But how on earth would they keep up with UPS? LOL

When speed is your business, everyone around best wear a hardhat.

  • @wolfsfire68 You're certainly not the first in this thread to see neither the problem with nor the solution to where the truck is poorly parked, but you are one of the few to inquire respectfully (mostly), and that's appreciated. The answer to your question is simple really: the truck should be parked closer to and more evenly with the curb. Had the driver taken the few more seconds to do so the truck would be in accordance with CVC 22502(a), instead of an illegal obstruction.

  • I'm curious, where do you think Fed Ex should park while making a delivery? Dead stopped in a traffic lane so your bike lane can remain clear just for you alone?? You actually had room to go around the truck on both sides and still stay out of traffic, so I really can't see what your complaining about.

  • @killerboogy69 Fair enough.

  • And FedEx hates you :)
