Worried about closures of deaf schools? Worried about special education teachers losing their jobs? Worried about losing interpreter services? Worried about the bad economy? Don't be. Weaning is a natural process which we all go through, periodically and it's a healthy process.

  • FYI The situation in WI is NOT about JUST teachers and their union. It is more than that. It involves more than just teachers. There are many other workers involved. too long for me to name them all. They're street workers, steel workers, Police, firefighters and many many more. I see you got some people upset. I wonder why they can't agree to disagree like you and I did. LOL I see ASLRoars got upset and tell people not to believe you. huh? we all should be able to think for ourselves

  • @gamaswanderings I know that. Been following the news on Wisconsin as well. There are more going on else where too but I simply can't seem to list all of them into my vlog. LOL. Too much going on right now in this economy. Agreeing to disagree isn't that difficult for you and I but may be extremely difficult for some. ASLRoar was only joking about that one in his video. But even if he was not joking I would not have any problems with him. LOL. Thanks for coming by!

  • What is your suggest for those who are weaning. Where can they go and start thriving?

  • @TheSterlingJOe - There is plenty of places and opportunities in this world for us to go to. You just have to train your eyes and mindset to see them. Just like you'd buy a new car and then see the same kind of car everywhere. Once you find an opportunity you will find it every where. The world is full of opportunities and solutions. Believe me, it's there but you won't know it until you train your eyes and mindset.

  • @tincancompany ; ) I love the fact that you started your own company when you could not get hired. Bitching, like you put it, will not get you very far. I loved that part of your message. I'm also an entrepreneur. Been into ventures for more than 30 years and it was the best thing I did for myself. It's so liberating. I'm glad you're experiencing the same.

  • @tincancompany But naturally..... however we all wean, eventually while numerous deaf people have not even if they turn 40, 50, 60 years old. And that, in itself, is what's sad to me.

  • Well you made a perfect example of weaning. One thing I know we could not wean is technology stuff like vp, cell phone, etc. It may be scary if our 5th sun world has arrived. Will we consider it as Tsunami for us and deaf community since we, small deaf world rely on this stuff ?

  • Hello Barry, Wisconsin is now liberty state after Gov. Scott Walker sign the collective bargaining bill for union (public employees).... That was great news! More states will be following after this...Anyway, I agree that we need wean off government (public sector) and move for big change... I can't believe what I see in my eye that many deaf ppl need government school after they contact NAD...

  • HELLO BARRY AND I JUST MADE VLOG FOR WEAN STAY WITH MOM WHAT IT WILL HAPPEN. YOU SURE ENJOY MY GREAT EXAMPLE INTO YOUR VLOG

  • I totally agree with u.. good vlog.. u have a good day..

  • I agree- Weaning off lots of things. This vlog got me thinking few days ago when it first appeared- just good point overall. We can only encourage ourselves and our communities to wean off of..... (whatever it is that needs to be weaned off of) I used that phrase "wean off" just few days ago because I was thinking of this vlog when I was in a short discussion. Thanks and keep it up. I look forward to see you whenever you're not so busy, eh?

    Best!
