I remember reading somewhere that The Shend wanted engraved on his gravestone. It was: 'The Shend - A Nice Bloke'. I met him way back in the 80's, completely randomly on a street in London, and yes, he was, and is, and hopefully for a long time to come, A Nice Bloke.

@colourgun I was at school with Robin and grew up 100 yds from the Shend. A claim 2 fame or wot ?

Cheers colourgun, good to hear Robin's still spinin,(hope he hasn't moved to CD) remember his early sets at the Duke of M, Studley, always top tunes, ABC, funk etc, the other lad on the Vox keys was a dude, went onto Grimetime n made some top noise....
