@MAlexandra152 It's very clear though: their bigoted religious belief imposes a specific relationship between man and women which is closer to a fundamentalist, middle-aged ideology than to a properly open-minded and mature practice. Even though it looks anodyne, it hides a fundamentalist mind set.

To transform it into a rule, i.e. to give it political consequences like they do, is really serious: it's against the western principle that no religion should dictate our politics.

@drydust999 Where's the bigotry? The women in this show choose hijab, so I assume that's not what you're referring to. They acknowledge the man is gay, but pass no judgement on his homosexuality in their words. So that's not it. They choose not to take the class because a man teaches it, but it's because they are making a choice. They talked respectfully and kindly. What bigotry are you talking about? The fact that they HAVE a religion in the first place? It's called the first amendment.

recite meants to say loud something that you have memorized.

muhammad had not memorized anything yet. what was he going to recite.

@zulfitareen "Iqra literally means read or recite". Look it up on the web. So are you a muslim or no? Obviously not. Unless you are shi'a - in which case you are not either. God does not make mistakes and would not permit his angel to make this mistake.
