  • Who ever put this video together did a half-assed job. I mean, I can clearly tell some of the clips were from the early to mid 90's. Just look at how large that cell phone is in her hand at 3:53! LOL! Come on now...

  • @xivinrah LOL

  • Oh, and with two dozen armed hold-ups and carjackings in the Midtown area in just the last two months, good luck for that "24 hour pedestrian traffic". The crime under the current city leadership has hit such a high, people are starting to move back out to the burbs again.

  • @powdersprings30127: I lived in Midtown for 5 years, from 2004 - 2009. It is a very safe area. I loved it. And we walked many many times around midtown after hours. There is a lot of crime in Atlanta in general, but most of the street crime happens in isolated areas of town. Of course you going to have some spill over into the nice areas as well, but that is life. I would let a few isolated events bother you.

  • alot of thing are being push back cause the current economic situation, that what happen to buckhead. "The Midtown Mile is up for auction" now you know that random made crap and exaggerating The Midtown Mile is redevelopment of a street not a car. The Beltline is a major redevelopment projects that going take over 10 years 25 at most. Atlanta is still one the fast growing region.

  • It's so funny to see this video, considering the current economic situation. They tore down the Buckhead Village in Atlanta to build high-end retail and condos and now, Buckhead is full of empty high-rise buildings and gigantic pits of abandoned steel and dirt where there once was life. The Midtown Mile is up for auction. And whatever happened to the Beltline?

  • Hokey video. I've lived in Atlanta for 25 years and they've hoped (no, fantasized) about retail on the streets since 1984. Unless they import 1 million new residents into the Midtown area and put a streetcar or people mover in, it 'aint happening. Everyone goes to the malls or suburban strip centers to shop.

  • Georgia's own "GINZA"!

  • Just give the customers plenty of free places to park and you'll get more suburban visitors and customers.

I live in midtown Atlanta and it's a great area. I like it much better than downtown.

  • Is that Connie Chung at 3:53?
