Everyone has an opinion about which gun would be the worst to be shot with. For some reason a lot of folks seem to think that a .22 rimfire is the worst. I have a cousin who was shot at point balnk range with a .22 rimfire. The bullet entered next to his navel and lodged in the front of one of his vertebrae. 40 yrs. later it is still there. However if he had been shot with a Walker Colt with a 60gr. max load, I'm certain his guts would have been splattered all over the yard and he would be dead.
I liked that contrast between guns:
1. *pew*
2. *pew*
3. *BOOOOM*

The weakness in the colt models is the wedge and cylinder walls you can install a metal shim for brassers to protect the recoil shield

If you use 40 strictly for hunting you will be fine limit 25 grains or less for target shooting brass stretchs
