what's up with his/her coat and mane??
-
Twisting the nails off is just one method and if done right can create a very pretty clinch, you my friend just had the wrong farrier work on your horse.

The white? Pressure marks. Coat is heavy for winter, has a really thick mane.

gosh mine are re done every 6 weeks and dont get half the work your boy is getting hahah i think its all money for our farriers. Well good luck and keep your videos coming. I think you should write a book or do a video. Have you taken loads of photos?

More video than photos, planning a book if I get time. If I get the videos done each day I feel good, but would be nice to have a lot more photos too. Almost all the steel and tungsten is gone in six weeks for us, sometimes eight weeks, the hoof starts moving off the shoe or cracking up to the nails if I wait longer. Sometimes shoes can be used again, but often they are too worn.

About six weeks per set of shoes. He is half quarter horse, half Percheron. Yes, we are close to a year.
