It says that, if someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic as well; to do good to those that hate you, and do not demand back that which was stolen from you. It says neither to judge nor condemn. What is that if not tolerance?

On the other hand, you know what *isn't* in the Bible? "Love the sinner, hate the sin."

@macgeek2004 first of all it does not say they the victims will be granted eternal paradise based on what happened to them. the only way to the Father is through Christ and only if you accept that he is your savior. I could go into a long speech about why what you just said is wrong but I am text limited. "Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace." God has wiped out wicked men himself but there is still a time to turn the other cheek

@TheoreticalPixies the entire left wing side says we need to tolerate Muslims, gays, and my personal favorite "open minded". Christianity doesn't preach tolerance. some might say that in the name of Christianity but this is false. Christ taught about love and compassion NOT tolerance, we do not tolerate sin we can love the sinners but hate the sin and that is what Christ taught. Are there hypocritical Christians? u bet, just like every other area in life doen't mean we all are

@usmarine931 Brought to justice? Yeah, that was a fair trial alright... I don't mind him getting shot, but to say that he was brought to justice is just ridiculous. And no, it's not particularly Christ-like, no matter how much you want it to be.

@usmarine931 Where does Maher preach that we should all be tolerant of everything? It isn't hypocritical of him to point out the Christianity preaches tolerance; he isn't Christian.

Actually, yes...it DOES. The Bible preaches that they "will get theirs in the afterlife," aka, "God'll get 'em in the end." That two wrongs don't make a right, and that God will be the ultimate judge. In this case, rewarding the offended/murdered parties w/eternal paradise to make up for their stolen lives, and damning the offenders/murderers to eternal Hell for taking those lives.
