This episode of 'Don't Mess with the Bunny' is a homage to the Mooncake Festival, a popular lunar harvest festival celebrated by Chinese and Vietnamese people. Also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or the Moon Festival, the festival is one of the most important holidays in the Chinese calendar and is held on the 15th day of the eighth month. Cultural customs of the holiday include eating mooncakes, matchmaking, carrying brightly lit lanterns, burning incense in reverence to deities, and Fire Dragon Dances. The traditional icon of the festival is called Moon Rabbit. Celebration of the festival is strongly associated with the legend of Houyi and Chang'e, the Moon Goddess of Immortality.

In this episode, the bunny directs a stage show about Chang'e and Houyi, with Farmer playing Houyi and Bunny as Chang'e.

  • I am going to give you some very important constructive criticism (This is directed at the author, not aniBOOM). The most important rule of writing is to pretend your audience is from outer space and therefore does not understand anything. What may make sense to the author may make no sense to the audience. A confused audience is not a happy audience. We all loved the first episode, but this made no sense at all.

  • @TheMetalHang That is the bear character setting and his name is "the bandage bear", i will explain it in the future why he is with the bandage:)

  • @yoshimickster Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy the animation, i will definitely work hard for the next episode! :)

  • ....what's not to GET?! The bunny is making a play, he throws a pinecone at the farmer messing up his face, honey-badge makes the farmer trip ruining the set and then Bunny kicks the crap out of him. I don't care, I like it. Keep up the good work hamma-jamma!

  • @posthumanfetus You have to watch it high, It'll make perfect sence.

  • @Nadyusha Im glad that you enjoy the animation :) thanks a lot!

  • What is there not to understand? It's very clear. There was a theatrical play that was always ruined by the same actor. The director got angry and beat him up. :)

  • I hate racist rabbits
