I remember those Breck shampoo commercials as a kid. I thought those girls were so hot. Every girlfriend I had for years had to have long hair.

  • i had long blonde hair and was about 14... now i'm 54 and all my life i wondered what song that was that i used to like...and today i finally found out. Hadn't heard it since then, in thunder bay, ont., canada

  • Glad you found it.

    Thanks for checking it out.

  • The only song I know that uses a slinky as a musical instrument. Listen closely and you'll hear it.

  • Not many people know that; you sure like your trivia.

  • Damn ... now I'm on a TOKENS roll ... just left "TRUMPETS" to come here .... I almost forgot how good this group was !

(next stop .... "THE LION", of course!)

  • But of course.

  • @themoshmenace Or let is her hair down lol, I don't get that either, makes no sense???

  • Loved this tho I was just a kid when I first heard it.

  • Great stuff. I have this on 45 but my brother stuffed it years again and this is the first time I've heard it in stereo & and scratch free.

  • Bought this in the 60's...Love it still

  • Nice song. It takes me back to 1969 when it first came out. A great time in my life, thanks for posting it.

  • wasn't this used as a Clairol commercial at one time?

  • Some more trivia: This song was written by Paul Vance and Leon Carr. Vance is probably most well known for Brian Hyland's "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-Dotted Bikini", "Playground In My Mind" by Clint Holmes, and "Tracy" by the Cuff Links (and Ron Dante, who went on to write and sing most of the Archies' big hits). Carr was primarily a commerical jingle writer ("Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut", "See the U.S.A in your Chevrolet") and pop hits mostly before the rock'n'roll era.

  • do you think Willow got some inspiration from this?

  • I hear this and I feel young.
