Drag Racing 1997 - Europe's first 4 second run in Top Fuel by Kent Persson - NitrOlympX Hockenheim

On August 16 1997 Swedish Drag Racing driver Kent Persson assured his place in history when he ran 4.987/472 kilometers per hour on the Hockenheim quartermile, which was the 1st ever run under 5secs in Top Fuel Drag Racing in Europe. In case that someone is interested what the track-commentator is yelling after the Fuelers finished their race, here's the translation: " THE FOUR...THE FOOOUR...THE FOOOOUR!!!! And the barrier is broken, the first four second run outside the United States! The "Optima Batteries Racing Team" of Kent Persson [...] You just witnessed motorsport history....motorsport history has been written here..and it was been written by Kent Persson...."

Kent Persson passed away on August 26 2011 after a long illness.
