@KingMattIV It is as 366f77 has said. At the time this was recorded, the 5 Marines were stationed at MCRD San Diego. Nice job, gents. You'd know if they were in the President's Own because of the uniforms. Beside the obvious uniform differences, these Marines have the crossed rifles as part of their insignia, whereas the President's Own have lyres as part of their insignia, notating their "non-deployable" status. Semper Fi.

I was totally not expecting that at 3:20, but it was great. In fact, this whole performance was great!!! What talented and self giving men, who can not only play incredibly, but leave their comfortable lives to fight for us. God bless our troops!

thats tight can 1 of yall teach me how to play all of those

Love them. Very cool.

Great to hear them always. They're are first Marines then musical Marines. That is a concept very difficult to understand for some people. They rock.

@e66f77 If these musicians are in The President's Own, they do not have a secondary mission of possibly being deployed. That being said, if they are in any of the other marine bands, they would have to pick up those M16's and fight if the situation called for it.

AWESOME! Say what you want... I thing that Gen. Pershing would be mighty proud of these leathernecks. Oooh Rah Boys! ! Sempre Fi! Great Job...and God Bless you and ALL those who serve to protect our great Nation, and to fight to provide liberty to those far less fortunate than we. Thank you for posting!

asshole what the hell you know!!!

a baritone would ruin it!!
Hornplayer88, do you know ANYTHING about the Marine Corps Bands? I have 4 close friends in the Marine Bands. These Marines in the video have to drop their instruments and pick up guns and fight for their country at the drop of a hat. They train for war, sometimes more than playing music. Pershing's Own sounds good because all they do is play. I'd like to see the Pershing's Own Brass Quintet pick up their M16's and take 10 shots from the 500 yard line! Semper Fi, Marines. Sounds great!

Baritones wreck brass quintets. They are cool but less used than trombone.
