im totally with you.

I also hope that Leland Yee faces a ban from praticing law as a result!

My only REAL problem with this is the apparent lack of influence these games had. It's not like the games TELL you to really be violent!

@Optimusstab no this country was built off of lies and blood but thats a whole other debate i see where you're coming from but lets face it the rating system is broken lets take graw for example its the same if not worse then rainbow six yet it gets a T while rainbow six gets a M example 2 mag graphic blood blowing people up snipping people stabbing people and still gets a T i also doubt the government will take it to the extreme baning books tv shows etcetera

Meh, theres always pirating and STEAM in the PC gaming world.
@Optimusstab dude if anything we need more restrictions on games im a gamer my self but looking at how advanced games are getting its only a matter of time before we have a virtually simulated world you enter through your mind were you're actually picking up a gun and firing it thats when gaming will become a ball hair away from genuine murder without restrictions buying on games and the limits thay can go to gaming really will become a murder simulator

@freebty I see what you're saying, I think, but your logic is inherently flawed, and your foresight is questionable. Say these Matrix-esque simulators do come out some day; movies are headed in the same direction, almost faster. There is a difference, of course, but when one form of media goes, others will follow. I'm all for protecting kids, but government regulation is not the way to do it. Censorship restricts freedom, and freedom is what this country was built on.

yeah bla bla fucking bla you're one of the bitchs who thinks up fake ass shit all day let me guess you're a minor who wants his m rated game fix STFU and get over it

@freebty Actually, no. I'm 21 years old and I agree with the idea of the law. Minors shouldn't be able to walk into a store and pick up a game like God of War or Grand Theft Auto. However, that's what the ESRB ratings are for. The industry is currently self-regulating, and most stores won't sell an M-rated game directly to a minor. What scares me about this law is that it eschews the rating system for a government censor. It's like if the Department of Homeland Security banned Lord of the Rings.
