Everyone was forced from Queen's Park into the streets earlier in the day, and we all continued to peacefully march through the streets until the police blocked us in from both sides, pinned us down and arrested us all. Many peaceful people were forcefully taken away and the media was all asked to leave or face arrest (some refused to leave and were arrested). There was violence by the police against peaceful people, especially before members of the crowd began pulling out their cameras to document it all. My apologies for missing some cruicial moments where the police forcefully grabbed people, was caught up in the moment and missed a couple shots but otherwise you can still see many people being forcefully arrested and others being taken away peacefully (now that they saw cameras were on them again).

Police brutality was rampant throughout the protests I was involved in. I never personally witnessed ANY property destruction by protestors, and I never saw a single protestor attack a police officer (aside from some young kids who threw some plastic bottles in Queens Park). I saw Rubber bullets fired, tear gas fired, a girl trampled by police horses, and numerous other atrocities against peaceful people before being arrested outside the Novotel Hotel and held for 22 hours for 'Breach of the Peace'. We were finally let go without charges, but without any documentation or papers to show we had been in custody! All I have to prove they stole 22hours of my life is the wristband they gave me. I waited in a holding cell with 20 people for 22 hours with our hands bound and nowhere to lie down except a cold floor dirty with paint dust all over it while they cranked the A/C.

I saw people come out of interrogation rooms crying and looking like they had just been beaten...I could go on and on... just got released late last night... there will be a few more videos to come. This is all unedited footage. Wish I had more footage but the batteries would not hold out, and I apologize for the poor quality video offered by my camera phone.

  • Peaceful protesters my fucking ass. The ONLY reason anyone (media excepted) was there that weekend was to stir-up trouble, or at least knew to expect trouble would occur.

"LETS US GO HOME! LET US GO HOME!" Well, dumb ass, if you had stayed home in the first place you wouldn't have that problem to begin with, would you?

I live in TO. I'm an active protester of causes. I made arrangements to avoid the city core at all costs that weekend.

  • @MrRrealty I certainly wasn't expecting any trouble when I went downtown that weekend. I assumed that if anything, there might be a few violent protestors to be concerned about (which there were), but I had no intentions of getting involved in anything like that so I thought I was safe... I didn't realise I should have been more afraid of the police than other protestors.

The mayor encouraged people to go downtown. I should have been able to without further risks from abusive police officers

  • I was arrested @ The Novotel. Im a female Hip-Hop Artist who lives in Toronto.

You can listen to the song I released about my arrest here @ facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150197644095371&ref=mf

I cannot post it on Youtube because it is a remix of B.O.B's Airplanes and that would be a violation of copyright laws.

Real News, you guys are amazing, and Im very happy with all the footage thats been put out by you in regards to the G20.

Ive already sent a text, I support.

  • @struc88city Thanks for posting! This is Katie M btw, we were held together in D8. Glad we're all connected on facebook now :)

  • This is my arrest. I am in grey with a hat on my head. If you think I was breaking any laws think again. I was sitting on the ground with my hands in peace signs. Is this democracy? No. This is a facist police state.

  • @legioncoleke Your post is rife with ignorant assumptions. I have a job. I pay taxes. I dont support people destroying property. There were only a few violent people destroying property. Why were over 700 of those arrested released without charges if there was any evidence they were destroying property? And do you have anything to back up your claim about officers in those vehicles when they were lit on fire? Everything I've heard said the vehicles were abandoned for hours before the fire

  • @KTEM88 : You weren't expecting trouble, you only thought there would be some violent protesters. WTF? From your own statement, why were you downtown? It doesn`t appear you absloutly needed to be there?

Its funny, I didn't encounter any problems with the police that weekend. Your problem encounter with the RIOT police, who btw were only out there for that weekend, was your own doing, because NO! The Mayor didn`t ENCOURAGE people to go downtown. Its simple; You wanted it, and so you got it.

  • @StimulatedMindz - I am glad that its only borderline insulting.

  • @StimulatedMindz , wait until the inquiry, then come back here and apologize. There are no reports because the media is biased.

  • @legioncoleke

Then talk about cowardly... your lies are borderline insulting.
