Pookie takes you in a different direction with one of my personal favorites. I've always loved Dinah, and this is a unique track from 1961. Mercury Records had Dinah rerecord many of her hits for 'The Dinah Washington Story', and this is one. Arranged and conducted by Quincy Jones in New York with an all-star jazz band, this cut also includeds The Dells on vocals. It was during these sessions, Aug.-Sept.'61, The Dells cut "Jeepers Creepers' and "My Baby Just Cares For Me'. This proved also to be a huge step in Quincy Jones' career. c'mon man, mr. b. is from my hometown. see if i can post that for you, though i'm pretty sure he did a couple versions.

glad you enjoyed this version. from 1961, when she was dating one of the dells. quincey jones arrangement. hard not to love the 'queen'.
