Short clip of a trip that we took one summers evening; down the river Frome in Dorset. From Wareham to Poole Harbour.
[ Yeah, I do know that they hadn't trimmed the Yam boat correctly! ]

  • Hi... Thanks for your kind comment.... I don't know if you live in that area.. The river Frome is only about 8 to 10 feet deep in most places. ..

    As my friend asks me which navigation marker to keep by. ... [ we are just entering Poole Harbour then ]... It is only about 3 to 4 ft deep there... Most of the harbour itself is not very deep.... Regards Dave GL..

  • I live in the area and have a kayak. The frome I know dosent have a very large tidal range. I remeber once in the equinox tides seeing water over the level of the quay. The only part of the harbour that I can think of that is deep is the channel for big ships. It is of an incredible size. Thanks for replying
