The US with all their wealth, that ability to lure players of any nationality really should be doing a lot better. Scotland is s very small nation of 5 million. The fact it's achieved what it has so far has been astounding. Celtic beat one of the best teams in the world in the European Cup with all it's team members being Scottish. Anyone who had ever been involved in football over the last 60 years respects Scotland appreciates the mountains they have had to scale.

@80svideoluvr Actually it was not Euro 96.be good if it was awarded to them there.Since it was in England.It was actually Sweden 92 at the Euroes.And at the world cup 98.Pretty good for a bunch of peaple you brand arogant.I am starting to think,that you are English.There the only ones who say such things.Our supports welcolme all around the world following Scotland,And the only welcolme that mob gets is with the riot police.Good tactic trying 2 put Scotland down in the disguese of a Yanky doodle

@legandrydirk Theres cost 350 million pounds,over there budget.For there national team 2 train in.Ours costs 36 million quid.They have 7 million to spend on a boss.We get querter a million on a boss.Even Ireland get 2 spend a million on theres.Also we have 2 share a staduim.Whilst our tax money goes to re furbish there Wembley.We need in door facilitys all over the place,in the big towns and Citys.There is even better facilitys in Lithuinia,than there is in Scotland.Need a 16 team league aswell

@80svideoluvr We are not the arogant ones.Our supports won 2 awards,at the last two finals we have been 2.So the world does not see us as arrogant.Bad managment dont think so.Jock Stein was boss in 82.Alex Ferguson 86,2 legands.I would say bad luck.Also the EPL turning into,a more national league dont help us or any of the other UK sides who have qualfied longer ago than us.Lack of money is the proplem,we only have 2 in door facilitys in the whole country.England gets more cash spent on 1 center

@legandrydirk Of course it is. And one to be proud of. But for a country that loves soccer so much, one would think that merely getting to a Finals would not be enough for proud people like Scots. And I don't think it is. So what has the problem been? A lack of talent, or perhaps a lack of chemistry, I'm guessing. And a little bit of bad luck, too, along with maybe some poor managing not to mention a hint of arrogance, perhaps?

@80svideoluvr They did it cos our team,was the back bone of the English teams who won things in Europe.But that was the 70ties and 80ties.But even in the 90ties,we had players that had done that.Now the only guy who has done thats Darren Fletcher at Man U.But EPL teams R starting 2 buy our players again.The past 2 seasons more have went doon there in a long time.And more will follow them.There is half a dozen good young Scots in SPL,who are EPL class.Also we have tons in the Championship in ENG

@80svideoluvr At least we used to get there.We never even entered them till 1950.And got asked bye FIFFA,2 cum in with England as joint founders of the game.SFA said they would only go if they beat England that year.And they lost and stayed at home.Your records about the same in getting there,and U had more time 2 do it.The fact is that if U had 2 qaulify over here,U would never have even made it 2 the finals.Sure Scots are proud of there team.Why would they not be?Reaching a finals a ACHEIVMENT

@legandrydirk Furthermore, given how POOR Scotland's performances at finals are, I am constantly AMAZED any time the Scots knock a decent team out during qualifying. I really have no idea how they ever do it. "World-class players," indeed!
