Solidarity with Gaza demonstration in Amsterdam part 1

source:http:www.ourmediaindymedia.blogspot.comThis is the second(last) part of reportage from demonstration in solidarity with Gaza wich had place in Amsterdam 03.01.09 Today ten thousand people demonstrated in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. The protest started with a manifestation with speeches from different representatives of the organizations and political parties and with a music performance by a Palestinian group. The Netherlands has two large immigrant communities, from Morocco and Turkey. From both groups many representatives were present and they showed their solidarity with the Palestinian people. During the demonstration the demonstrators marched through the city center of Amsterdam chanting for a free Palestine and condemning the Dutch government for its complicity with the siege and bombing of Gaza. Until now the government has not responded or voiced its concern for the people of Gaza. A member of the Socialist Party and spokesman for Foreign Affairs chanted: 'Intifada, Intifada, Palestine Free Now!' with the rest of the protestors. After the demonstration he has called the government for an urgent debate to force them to condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

heraldicus79.......you are right, its shamefull how arabs are not in unity even in those moments. however, i dont know why you claim that muslims blame holland. the dutch did not do anything beneficial or harmfull. the attacks in gaza are the responsibility of israel and only israel. many israeli activists are against the attacks and so are arab, dutch and other activists as well

Het Gaza strookje wordt half vernietigd door Israel en alle Moslim buurlanden staan toe te kijken en Egypte houdt zelfs de grens potdicht, maar nee het is de schuld van Nederland! Rot lekker op en neem die linkse rakkers ook gelijk mee!!

viewy2006.....its not about immigrants in holland, its about simple human rights of a minority to survive barbarik attacks. if you have avertion to non dutch/islamic existance in holland, no need to comment here, better make your own blog/political party and call it anti-allochtoon. if it is a worthy humanitarian cause you will get tons of support.good luck.
