This evening I watched some Bossa Nova videos of 'jolandamusic'
http://www.youtube.com/user/jolandamusic
and quite spontaneously I listened out the chords of GIRL FROM IPANEMA just now, with the help of their video.
Somehow I prefer watching HOW somebody plays (rhythm, accents, chords) than getting me tabs or chords from the Internet.
So, today is my first time I played this world popular tune haha :-)
I only sing 'mhhh' though because I don't know Portuguese ;o)
Playing stuff like this really moves me a little step further with my guitar playings..
The chords are not just minor or major, there are Major7 chords and other in there. The fingering is different now and then.
Especially I like the rhythms/beats/accents.. :-)
Bossa Nova and stuff goes in the direction of Jazz, you can say it's Jazz. And that's what I wanna learn more in the next years (from time to time - my originals go first;) - jazz chords, jazz progresssions, jazz rhythms, whatever..
So this song might not sound special to you, but for me it's a little step forward ;o)
These are the chords I listened out
