@funkyzero Saved Indiana? It was his idiot policies as Bush's OMB director that shifted the tax burden onto the states and ruined state budgets across the country.

Selling off the Indiana's assets is not "saving" indiana... it's "selling" Indiana. Big difference. He leased our toll road (for 75 years!) to a foreign company for a quick fix to make himself look good. That money leaves the country btw.

@roadwarrior3 Your argument is also lame because both German and Japanese auto workers are unionized. The American auto industry floundered because of lazy and wasteful management. They laughed at Edwards Deming's manufacturing philosophies and so he went to Japan and they listened.

Fact is that the failure of the American auto industry in the 60s and 70s was poor management. Show some pride, learn something about the history of your country.

@roadwarrior3 You are a fool if you believe the things you wrote. American car quality? You think it was union workers that decided to use the cheapest materials and cut corners on quality designs? You think it was union workers who decided to pay upper management extravagant sums if money?

Union workers get paid what EVERYONE should get paid. Because they have a union, their pay as gone UP with the cost of living... Not down like the pay of non-union workers.

Typical union song. Foul language and sarcastic remarks are a favorite tool of the UNimaginative. Unions can force artificially high wages for a while. When American car prices reached record levels and quality reached record lows in the late 1960's -- mid 1970's, Japanese and German cars began a titanic sweep that continues to this day that featured/features lower prices and higher quality. Unions can and do price their labor costs so high that businesses leave the state or/and U.S.

Now that he got his "Right To Work" bill passed, let's see all those jobs that you said would come to Indiana because we're now a Right to Work state. None of you that work with in a union environment job don't understand that some areas of work needs union or else we'd be back to conditions of the 1920's and 1930's. You all seem to forget that unions that were in full strength in the mid 1900's gave us the middle class. Not the haves and have nots. So come on Mitch...get those jobs a comin'
