  • JUST SUPERB!!!!! ALICIA DE LARROCHA HAS BEEN ONE OF THE GREATEST!!!! and some people only know her for her renditions of spanish music. IS TIME TO KNOW THAT SHE HAS PLAYED MUCH MORE THAN JUST MUSIC OF SPANISH COMPOSERS. SHE HAD A LONG REPERTOIRE (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, impressionist, etc). SHE HAS BEEN ONE OF THE GREATES OF THE KEYBOARD OF OUR TIME!!!!! YEEEEESSSSSSS

  • This is about as fantastic a performance as it gets!! If it's the recording of the same performance she gave in NYC, I remember reading the review in the NYTimes. The critic implied that, while musical, she seemed overpowered by this monster concerto!! Shows that some critics haven't a clue what they're talking about...

  • My favorite female pianist. WOW.

  • I was lucky enough to hear her perform many years ago. This small woman with tiny hands came out on the stage, sat down at the piano, started to play, and magic happened. She was one of the greatest pianists I have ever had the pleasure to hear. Glorious and brilliant.

  • she was a tremendous musician. What a natural born musician. Her phrasing was as natural as breathing. Anyone knows a better version than this here? I don t think so, you can make it different but not better.....

  • @lovesGenet alicia was better than gian bachauer

  • you look at this music and you see leaping octaves then runs that end with huge chords and you say each measure could have ended incatastrophe.Schnabelmade the worst rec in history of this con and he played it 100's of times.HOW DID THIS TINY WOMAN PLAY ALL THE INCREDIBLY DIFF REPERTOIRE SHE PLAYED EVEN RACHMAN with those tiny hands.WellGinaBachauer was tiny and made you thing she did tenths inMussorgsky.Just miracles !

  • AMAZING !

  • I think she is a true universal musician.

  • You took the words right out of my mouth! Her playing of Mozart is unsurpassed, I think.

  • La Gran Dama del piano. The Great Dame of Piano.

  • A sad day for music

    Goodbye Alicia R.I.P.
