  • is it good to have different sets of idle's?? what does it mean??

  • They aren't really different sets of idles, it's just showing how the car sounds when the ECU is set to target a certain air fuel ratio.

  • That paint is ridiculous

  • Damn love the color of the car.

  • @308Rem700 like said, too many variables - would you like to tune it for 12.5:1 which is 'perfect' yet on the edge of pinging, say and have it ping on a hot day. It's all about avoiding the ping, lots of fuel = lower combustion temps, up to a point and then it's too much. Take for example a standard turbo, boosted up to the verge of pinging because it's out of its efficiency range and can't flow enough, are you still going to stick to 12.5:1 or go a little richer to be on the safe side.

  • @redpr5 for a boosted motor it's ok. I don't care where you went to school, I go to school for it also and my question is where is your turbo car??

  • @crayman31 10:1 on a turbo motor would run like shit and would blow black smoke from unburnt fuel. ideal is 12.5:1 boosted and 13.2-13.8 for na

  • 14.7 is great for an NA car in ideal conditions, then you get higher compression, fuel quality and ambient temperature come into it, a turbo car runs richer to lower combustion temps to avoid pinging, 10:1 on some cars at WOT isn't unusual :P

  • @clos19851 there are too many variables to have one perfect AFR. End of argument

  • @redpr5 your right buddy.... but since your so trained.... answer me this,lol...

in what PERFECT LITTLE WORLD DO YOU EVER HOLD 12.1 FOR MORE THAN A SECONDS BEFORE IT CHANGES TO 13...

i like to be on the save side... to give room for error...lol

12 is my number too... trust me... but its damn hard in florida with the moisture and all the different ambient number to get that number down right... AIT sensors take a big part in that

  • Cammed FTW!

  • how bout lets get our instructors and battle them lol
