He took my breath away at that moment, the sun glowed against his tanned skin as he stood there in his perfect, muscled, warm, loving frame, with his thumbs in his pockets rocking on his heals. I had to control my instincts I just wanted to run to him and kiss him passionately. But I couldn't do that, and just as I controlled myself his eye line caught with mine and I suddenly felt very un-steady on my on feet. He had this gravitational pull that I couldn't fight nor did I want to. he was just so breathtaking. He then slowly walked towards me smiling and I had to lean on the car to control my unsteady balance.
"Hey Superstar didn't expect to see you today" I said to Joe trying to act cool which honestly took all my strength "hey D dove and that's why it's called a surprise" he laughed and I laughed too. I got my nick name from my name D for Demi and dove for Devonne it was cute and funny whenever he said it, of course anything he said was.... "Wanna open mine or Selena's present first?" "Well I---" Selena interrupted before I could finish "Excuse me but she's opening mine first she's known me longer!" I elbowed Selena in the stomach that wasn't fair on Joe but he was okay with it so I grabbed Selena's present first and opened it up. Inside was a glass stand with was holding a small glass box which was in the style of a photo album. I looked up at Selena then smiled and hugged her. "Thanks Sel! Its really really pretty" I said smiling "I'm glad you like it Demz!" She replied hugging me.
I then looked at Joe with a big smile on my face and held out my hands, waiting for him to place the box in my hands. He placed the box inside my arms very gently and said "I really hope you like it" then smiled warmly.
I lifted the lid on the box and inside was a baby chocolate Labrador puppy, the dog I've wanted a long time. It was curled up asleep on a little dog bed that was inside the box.
Moments later I looked at Joe in awe with questioning eyes "Do you like her? Her name is Annabelle; Belle for short" "You got me a PUPPY! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" I was really happy about this "Yep! I asked your mum and she agreed to it." he said looking down at Belle smiling "oh and here...." he handed me a bag "is food and toys for her" I handed the box and bag to Selena, walked to Joe and hugged him tight.
"Thank you" I said while hugging him "I really love her already" I hugged him a little closer "Your welcome Demz" he said wrapping his arms slowly around me hugged me once more then let go. Much to my disappointment.... When I turned around a heard a little whine coming from the box. I guessed it was Belle waking up not sure were she was, so I walked over and scooped her up into my arms gently. Snuggling her close and with that she quietened down.
"Let's go to my house" I said to Joe and Selena, they nodded in agreement so I got in my car with my present and Belle along with Joe while Selena took her car and said she'd meet us there.
I pulled into the driveway just as Selena turned the corner to my street and waited at my door till she had parked then once she was out and Joe had hold of Belle and handed Selena my photo album box I opened the door.
"Mum I'm home!!" I yelled to let her know; She replied with "Hi sweetie be right down!" So I set down my keys in the tray and headed upstairs to my room holding the bag, the dog bed and Belle; Joe and Selena following me. I placed Belle on my bed while I arranged the mat, the bed and the bowls by my side table and filled the food bowl. Then carried the other to my bathroom and filled it with water. Then set it back down in it's original place. Then I reached into the bag and pulled out the pink and purple weaved collar and clipped it around Belle's neck. I leaned back up smiling "There all set!" I said happily Joe then set my photo album box on my table carefully then we headed back downstairs with me carrying Belle.
My mum then came down smiling noticing Belle in my arms. "You like her then huh?" she asked coming to Belle and stoking her fur gently "Yeah I really do" I replied with a smile.
