KRON-TV San Francisco February 1985

My last broadcast on KRON ... for three years. I switched to KGO the following weekend, and the anchors (Emerald Yeh and Gary Radnich) gave me an on-air good-by party, with cake and flowers.

I used to watch KRON religiously in the '80s. Jerry Graham was good, as was Radnich. Emerald Yeh was marginal and Steve Newman was just a prettyboy tool.

I always liked how KRON used similar graphics to NBC News during this era, but they hardly ever used the peacock logo.

At this time Jan Rasmussen was an anchor on KRON.

What ever happened to her?

BTW, she was also a judge in the City spelling bee in 1984-I missed siffilate hence the name

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Jerry Graham is the original host of Bay Area Backroads from July 1984 until March of 1993 when Doug McConnell took over the hosting duties after he left Mac & Mutley to where he still is to this day.
