I hope you realize that they ported KDE to Windows. This is still Windows, it's just using the KDE Shell.

Ya true, it is still fairly young yet, but getting there. Hardware support is bloody awesome aswell these days. Also, the amount of Game Devs getting on board is amazing.
However, I am also a big believer of use what suits you best. I have windows on my main machine, as a secondary boot for some games, and Kubuntu as my main, as that is what suits myself, and my purposes, best.

True. But it's still only just getting support. It's not enough for me to actually use it, yet. Although I do have it installed on my computer, along side Windows.

Well, that used to be true, back in the Dark Ages. Most developers, and a *lot* of game devs, are getting on board with Linux these days.
