"Oh that my child be godly. Oh that my child give it all for the sake of Christ. Oh that my child live for Him. Oh that my child not be enslaved to the very things that so enslave me.

Do you realize, now listen to this, there's a balance in everything, there is... but do you realize that if you would just take an agenda/write down a list of how much time you invest in your children in extra curricular activities (versus) how much time you invest in your children with regard to godliness.

We buy things, we fill them full of media, we put them in the world, and we carry them every place on the face of the earth all throughout the week that our lives are so busy and scattered that we can't even sit a meal and what are we doing?! We're making our children enslaved to the very master that enslaves us and ruins our lives instead of teaching our children only one thing is needed: devotion to Christ."

- Paul Washer

"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

  • God is great, may God bless this men, and do His work through his servants in this evil corrupted cold world.

  • Great video. Put God first. This is more important than anything else.

  • Find something inspiring in the world, that we have a real passion for, (archery, in this case) and we must--quick, quick!--inject some guilt in there to temper the happiness. The extent that we distance ourselves from that which makes us happy, makes our lives better, is the extent to which we are moral; the extent to which we find our own happiness, grab it, and allow it make our lives better is the extent to which we are immoral. Christianity has a truly messed up ethical system.

  • @alnarweeg92 Sin isn't failing to believe in Jesus, sin is transgression of the law. Jesus is like a parachute. You don't just believe in a parachute you put it on because you trust the parachute to save you. Repent and trust in Christ alone.

  • @alnarweeg92 Sir, God doesn't send people to hell for not believing in Jesus. It is because of breaking His Commands(10Commandments) lying, stealing, looking with lust/adultery, blaspheming ect. It is like jumping out of a plane. The initial cause of death is because you transgressed the law of gravity, if you would have put the parachute on you would of survived.

  • Amen!

  • @LaneCh Good for you! And thank you!

  • @Winchester1973 Well said. I had to delete his comment for profanity.

  • @Jaxson1059 If some random man (such as Paul Washer) moved me to say the things you said, I would be seriously alarmed.

If there's nothing to his message, why bother? why be moved by anger and outrage? why such emotion?

It is those on the opposite side of truth that have reason to be agitated. You, sir, are being restless...
