Hey, how often do you have to give the Airedale a haircut? Or does it shed mostly on it's own? I'm used to having Golden Retrievers.

Fantastic clip! Airedales are so loyal & patient....I have a 9 year old female & she just loves kids, all people in fact!
My Welsh Terrier was similar in temperment too....while driving in the car if I saw her tail wagging I knew she had spotted a kid!

Hello :)
How did you introduce your baby to your dogs? They are so gentle and patient with him!
-
So incredible patient that breed. :)

The kindest dogs on the Earth! We had a Dale ( for 14 years ) named Denny and he was the member of our family. So smart, tender and brave!
Your Airedales are so incredibly BIG which I love. Which breeder did you use, were they from Australia? I am so obsessed with Airedales and just cannot wait to buy one once we have a fence as we are on 5 acres and have only been here for a few months. We also have a female mini schnauzer and can't decide whether to buy a male or female Airedale. Do the females get on well, is there any competition? Thanks!

@bunni1bunni Hello. We got both our Dales from small breeders in Devon in the UK. Molly came from a breeder who was just having one litter from their family pet and Gertrude from a small-time breeder nearby also. We brought them with us when we moved to Tasmania. Our two get on really well and there has not been any competition between them as females. They just have loads of fun together and are inseperable. It is difficult to know whether your female schnauzer (contd)

@bunni1bunni .....will get on best with a male or female airedale. How does she react with other dogs she has met? Airedales are generally pretty friendly male or female so it is really up to you I think. I know ours get on well with both male and female. We had Molly first and then brought Gertrude in as a puppy when Molly was 2 and there were no problems with that at all. Good luck and thanks! They will love 5 acres. We have 6 acres and it is perfect for them. Our Dales weigh 28kgs.
