all i know is that hillsong is just living the life that God promised in Jeremiah 29: 11 "For I know the plans that I have for you," says the Lord, "plans to prosper you, not to harm you, but to give you a hope and a future."

@MongoosC5 Of course the criticism comes from the outside. Because no one inside the church is allowed to critique, analyse, ask questions or use their brains.

I found it interesting that this man is talking about the money that Hillsong makes a year and then begins talking about Jesus being a carpenter and poor. If you had any understanding of the Bible for a minute you'd know why he chose to be poor. 1. He had to be the lowest of people, so that the lowest of humanity can receive Him as Lord and Savior. The Bible also states that the Lord loves it when we become prosperous. The Lord does hate criticism and judgmental-ism. My advise, stop now!!!!

Besides, if it didnt cost money, if everything were free, then the poor people of these countries wouldnt need us to bring it to them.

Alot of people that criticize large churches and call them money hungry are looking at it from the outside and they dont want to take the time to truly see in. Funding missionaries, constructing buildings, founding churches, giving out food and water both here and overseas, funding doctors to administer medicine in places that otherwise have no access to it, helping people physically escape dangerous places; it all cost money at some point.

For example we have missionaries in Iran who have help start over 100 Jesus loving, Bible preaching, Christian churches. And Iran is just one of many countries we have missionaries in. These people arent after money or fame. Theyre literally risking their lives by doing what they do because they want everyone to come to know Jesus and what he did for us.

What most people dont realize is that "mega churches" that really do chase after the heart of God are the ones funding the small village churches in places like Cambodia, Darfur, you name it. They dont boast about it because being able to boast is not the point. I've been going to Church of the Highlands for close to a year and while I knew we funded missions and help start small churches I only recently found out to the extent that it is being spread.

many people saved but how many converted ? Just because they pray the prayer they think they can do whateva they want, where is Holiness ? and discipline ? those are also part of the walking with Christ and the relationship. They are not spreading the word over the world they are spreading their music over the world, and making mega churches over the world. how about the small villages in cambodia vietnam and thailandia that never heard about Christ ? they dont care coz they have no money.

hillsong has broken down the 4 walls of there church and reaching out to the world.
once you get involved in the church you realize all the stuff they do and where there money actually goes.
you cant expect to spread the gospel of god without a church growing in funds which the world runs off.
and the reason they make so much money is because there is so many people going there
and willing to give there finances to the church
its a church in motion to spread christ to the world

If we stopped focusing on demoralizing and tearing down churches that are successful, maybe we could make an impact on this world for the Kingdom of God. You have to understand how these churches work. Just because a church is large like this doesn't mean they are a cult or anything like that. We need to support each other instead of tearing each other down. You never see demons fighting each other, but man God's people will. Let's grow up in God guys.
