http://EasyRecipesHQ.com - Fish Sauce Recipes all begin with one thing in common, a good quality Fish Stock. In this the first of two fish sauce videos we show you how to make a quality fresh fish stock from scratch, the methods are the same what ever fish bones you use. Just make sure that they are from a non oily fish like salmon or trout. The best fish bones to make a fish stock from are, Sole, Brill, Turbot, Plaice, Flounder and of course as we use here John Dory. Now please note that we say Fish Stock not Shellfish Stock. Shellfish Stock is completely different in how it's prepared and finished. This is a basic Fish Sauce recipe that finishes with a fresh Fish Velouté. This will be the base for more sauces and derivatives that we will visit again another day. The base recipe is the same for all the Fish Veloutés. Also it is important to note that the fresher the fish bones the better quality stock that you will be left to work with. Also there is white wine used with the Fish Stock, this also should be good quality. The end result is a Fish Sauce that you have a base to let your creative cookery talents work with.
