Rod of Trials in Ninja Gaiden 2

How to find the Rod of Trials in Ninja Gaiden 2 so that you can perform the Tests of Valor. It took me a while to figure it out - even after it was explained to me in detail (thanks Shackers) I was still confused about it - but once I got it, I figured I would share the knowledge with everyone else on how exactly to go about getting it.

The video starts immediately after you have used the first save totem in Chapter 2.

Why does this video emphasize keeping off the stairs? In my video I went half way up the stairs just to get the archers off me; I'll post it as a video response.

nice vid dude. I emphasized not going up the stairs because the first 3 times I tried to get the rod I failed it due to leaving the area. Just trying to not make people waste their time is all :)

I did all of this. The candles lit up but I thought the red was like a staff. Su I was all "Where is it!?".......All I had to do was jump over the fence >>

I got the rod before but I havn't noticed any glowing portal's....I guess it's because I missed the first one that the others didn't light up.

yes you can... you lose nothing but story related items like keys etc.
