The Judds Grandpa lyrics :

Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Sometimes it feels like this worlds gone crazy
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday
When the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy

(chorus)

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other, come what may
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away
Oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

Grandpa, everything is changing fast
We call it progress, but i just don't know
And grandpa, let's wander back into the past
And paint me the picture of long ago

(repeat chorus)

Did lovers really fall in love to stay
And stand beside each other come what may
Was a promise really something people kept
Not just something they would say and then forget
Did families really bow their heads to pray
Did daddies really never go away
Oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days
Oh, grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days

why not me
mama he's crazy
love can build a bridge

  • Hi Girl, Take time to get someone with a good Camcorder to sit down by yourself and record the music in a QUIET place so we can hear that beautiful voice over the noise and music! Dave Matheson

  • Hello, Kayla

Hope you don't mind me asking but I kinda have a request..

Would it be possible for you to maybe re-do Grandpa by The Judds?

You did such a great job, but it's a bit hard to hear your voice with all the extra sound in the background

By the way your songs are awesome!!

  • *wonderful

  • VERY winderful job on this classic Judds song.. You have a great voice :)

  • There was a young girl(not a teen yet) who sang this song in the late 1980's. Her whole family was there with their music and songs, too. It was in a church in southern Oregon. They sold tapes and I bought one just for this song! And you kinda look like that young lady all grown up. Thank you for putting this on you-tube. It has blessed me so much. Let this song stay with you forever. This world has lost what you sing about. God bless you.

  • you go girl !!!!

  • i just love this song so much keep it comming

  • i am from the netherlands good song love the judds

  • I have a 14 year old daughter who looks like you and acts like you, her name is becky and I showed her your video and she has played it her self I hope it gave her some inspiration to do the same . Ike.
