Tony Lionni returns to Freerange following last years As One LP and some great remixes and EP's for the likes of Kerri Chandlers' Madhouse and NRK. Here we have two original tracks of deep and hypnotic late-night house of the highest quality.

Higher Ground is unmistakable Lionni with it's continually looping vocal hook, cross rhythm rhodes stabs and fizzing synth solo straight out of the UR school of jazz inspired techno. On Forever Is A Long Time Tony drops the bpm's for a more disco-tinged groove with warm filtering pads and piano chords all vying for attention. The end result is a beautifully building, blissed out atmosphere which still manages to maintain momentum and energy.

Moomin has had a great 2011 with a string of excellent releases on Aim, White and Smallville. His recently released The Story About You LP on the later has received rave reviews and it's clear that his own take on deep, atmospheric, underground house is helping push him into the spotlight as one to watch. On his remix of Higher Ground Moomin strikes a perfect balance between pumped up house and ethereal, floating deepness resulting in a brilliant mood setter of a track.
