actually, our phrases differ too. its similar to the aussie british american english situation

geez the interviewer sucks at asking questions. at least takeshi gives a lot of thought to his answers but can't say the same for the interviewer.

They are speaking the Mandarin spoken in Taiwan--there's a slight difference in pronunciation. However, it is not Taiwanese.

Exactly. It seems like the interviewer is trying to ask "tough" questions, but they're actually rather stupid.
