I love his playing, i'm studying "the visit" martino's solo and in the solo of his book i'm studying his solo and there's a line subscribed in c7(13) where he plays g dorian but those are the same notes as c mixolydian. Is that another approach(thinking) of what he is doing ? Because on a B+7 he played C dorian and and that makes totally sense(it sounds natural!) can anyone help me please ?

Timothy Dalton on organ?
Pat Martino is the guitarist's guitarist........every generation has their great players ... I reckon Joe Pass , Wes Montgomery, Charlie Christian and Django must have heaved a sigh of relief when Pat came along! certainly George Benson and I did!!

It's a amazing the way Pat threads his sound from tune to tune. He sets up every song so he can play it his way and that like no one else.
My favorite recording is a record called 'Desperado' where he uses an electric 12'string. The guitar looks like an ES 335 12 but the logo on the headstock is hard to see in the photo.
This musician has influenced me as much as anyone I've ever listened too. I hope if he ever hears me play I'll make him proud.
