As an illustration of the kind of expressionistic soundtrack that was commonly heard on "The Andy Griffith Show," Webern's Op.6/3 is substituted as a suspenseful soundtrack.

  • You completely pulled me in... I had typed "Andy Griffith Soundtracks" into the search window, after a conversation I had last week with a colleague of mine at Berklee about the moodiness of Griffith Show soundtracks, and watched this before I read your notes. (Then I read them, and found out I WASN'T listening to the original.) The Webern works perfectly, and I salute you.

  • As a huge fan of both Andy Griffith and Anton Webern, I must say this is SPOT ON!! This is both fascinating and hilarious. Kudos!
