@rokarolla You make perfect sense...opiates, even high grade, prescribed[Diamorphine] ones, rob creativity, and also poor teeth really play havoc if Jimmy was suffering with abscessed teeth [common in people of that era] it would not have been conducive to brilliant playing-but the opiate habit definitely would have put a damper on the vitality of his playing.
