I learned this Bagua Walking Shovel from my sifu Zang Xuefan in 1999. It was a set handing down from the Liang-style Bagua Lineage with evident Bagua style. Bagua was an on-limits school because the precursory generation came from various schools of martial arts. It was told that they challenged GM Dong Haichuan, the founder of Bagua, but admitted the defeat and became the disciples of Dong. That is why you could see so many sorts of weapons in Bagua. This set was arranged very well in movements and could get good resound if used in competition.

  • Fantastic.

  • @irontoad123 It would depend on the steel used; a wushu steel Monk's Spade (a more common name for this weapon) usually weighs about 4.5lbs while a combat steel version will usually weigh around 11lbs.

  • I've never seen that before. Thanks for posting.

  • great vid

    how heavy is the shovel?
