Please, get an education (or a better one) if you plan on trying to enter this debate. I know that Canada can't do shit unless the major powers hop on board. He didn't bring the long gun registry forward for a vote, it had nothing to do with the opposition. He wanted to keep this wedge issue alive and use it for his gain, if he had of brought it forward for a vote it would be voted down and end of wedge issue. And these people believe him, what a con.
